Special Notes

The Galatz Roller pigeon is a very hardy and strong bird and excellent flyer. A very spectacular trait of this pigeon is also the fact that the males, besides normal cooing, open up their wings in a V-shape, spread their tail feathers and swallow a little air (but not as much as cropper pigeons) in order to either impress the hens or intimidate the other males.

These birds are prolific breeders and relatively easy to care. The parents mate again as soon as the squabs in the nest are over a week old. And after another week, the hens lay eggs again.

Along with flying, the breed is also pretty good for raising as pets. However, review full breed profile of this breed in the following chart.
