The English Short-Faced Tumbler pigeon (or English Short Face Tumbler) is a breed of domestic fancy pigeon from United Kingdom.
It is actually originated in England, and was developed over many years of selective breeding. This breed and other varieties of domesticated pigeons, all are descendants from the wild or feral rock pigeon.
It is one of the oldest pigeon breeds referred to in Moore’s book of 1735. It is also known by some other names such as Culbutant Anglais à Courte Face, Englischer Shortfaced Tümmler, Capitombolante Inglese a Faccia Corta.
It is classified as a type of Tumbler pigeons, and has very good flying ability. First standard for the English Short-Faced Tumbler pigeon breed was published in 1764.

English Short-Faced Tumbler Pigeon Appearance
The English Short-Faced Tumbler pigeon is a smaller sized bird with compact body. It has a broad chest and their legs are short.
It’s posture is erect and active and such that its head is thrown well back to a line that is perpendicular with its feet. Head of the English Short-Faced Tumbler pigeon is large, broad and round. It’s beak is short, fine, straight and pointed with wattles that are small and fine textured.
Eyes of these birds are silver or pearl colored. Their eyes are large, bold, bright and placed well into the head. Their neck is short, well arched and broad at the base. And the neck tapers a little from the shoulder to beak.
Tail of the English Short-Faced Tumbler pigeon is short, proportional and well set with the flights carried below it. The breed comes in many different color combinations.
Coloration of these birds include agate, almond, dun, deroy, kite, whole feather agate, mottle, self and whole feather, baldhead and beard.
